We took a long-ish walk around lunchtime today. It was HOT here - probably 90 around the time of this story. I was pushing Hannah in the stroller when she turned around and looked up at me, sweat pouring down my face. Clearly concerned, she said "Are you okay, Mama? There's an ambulance right over there!"
(And there was.)
She's so thoughtful. :)
In other news, we had a super busy week this week. We hosted a SURPRISE party for my sister who is finishing her first year of teaching, went to a barbeque to say goodbye to one of Brian's co-workers, attended a lovely wedding, and threw a baby shower for my bestie & her twins. We were also delighted to have my parents and Brian's brother Jason stay with us for parts of the weekend. So after all of that excitement, today was the kind of day I needed: quiet & at home with my sweet girl.
We're looking forward to the END.OF.SCHOOL. this week!!!!! We are excited to celebrate with the seniors who will be going off to bigger & better things and with the 8th graders who will be saying good bye to EPGHS and hello to the lives of freshmen. And on a personal note, I am looking forward to seeing my husband this summer. :) He will continue to work through the summer, but his office hours will be much more reasonable. (No more of this 3am-8pm nonsense!)
