These pictures are from the weekend of Nov. 5th.
It was Pawpaw's 92nd birthday, and also Kathy's birthday, but she didn't publicize the number.
Many of the Kurz cousins came out for a hayride at the farm. It was a beautiful fall day!
The course for the hayride took the group past the infamous "Nimrod" (aka Cary's deer stand), and thus the voyage was dubbed the NimRide.

Afterwards, there was a bonfire with plenty of hotdogs for roasting.
That's a lot of hot dogs!
Brian enjoyed a good old-fashioned front lawn football game with the Hill cousins.
I think that his "Tackle Tuesdays" at the elementary school have helped him on the football field. (Evidently he made two diving tackles on the playground on back to back Tuesdays at school to catch kids who were trying to flee the scene. Never a dull moment...)
These two chicks get along pretty well. As they get a little older it makes me so happy to see Hannah having such a great time with her cousins. I wish we lived closer, but honestly these girls pick up like no time has passed every time they get together.
After dinner, Pawpaw blew out his candles as we all sang Happy Birthday. This picture doesn't show it, but there were a couple of finger swipes in the cake prior to the candles. Kurz kids like icing.
Later, after the extended family went home, we tried to stage a Christmas card photo for Kathy, but this was the best we could do.
Let's just say it was a pretty tense 20 minutes trying to capture this. :)
