{the big hug}

Miss Hannah was so glad to spend time with her Grandpa and Grandma Ruegge, Aunt Carolyn, and Aunt Kristi. We have not all been together for quite some time, so it was special for us to all go to church together back in New Haven.

Katie, Hannah, and I arrived before Sunday School had finished up and waited in the Family Life Center (outside Grandpa and Grandma Ruegge's classroom). Hannah was running around to pass the time. When they came out she was wandering around and chattering. All of a sudden she threw her arms back and ran Hannah-Style* to Grandpa Ruegge and gave him a big hug.

That was the first ever Hannah-Style* Running Hug (patent pending). Since then we've had lots of nights like tonight where the game is that Hannah runs up to her momma with a hug. Then she runs up to me with a hug.

Tonight Katie was greeted coming home from work with a Hannah-Style* Running Hug. There's nothing quite like it when your little girl comes up to you with a hug or a kiss out of the blue.

I just hope she doesn't learn to start asking for money immediately afterwards. Otherwise, I'll go broke fast. I am going to really practice saying "no".

*Hannah-Style Running: It's the exact same as walking except the smile is bigger, the look in her eyes is more determined, and the breathing is heavier.
