Thursday was Hannah's last day at her new preschool.
I won't go so far as to say that Hannah was sad about it, but I was sad for the lost opportunity for her.
We will be returning to the "old" school starting tomorrow, and I think everything will be just fine.
My little sister had a birthday this week, so my parents came up to surprise her.
One of the first things they did when they got to our house was check out our little garden.
(To put this in perspective, it's like the Cake Boss coming over to try my frosted-from-a can birthday cake.)
They were gracious and had kind words about our tomatoes nevertheless.
We drove to town to meet my sis for birthday dinner at a nice restaurant,
and Hannah enjoyed sharing the back seat with Reemaw and Mustache.
We got home much too late after dinner to do anything "fun", but the next morning when Hannah woke up, she found this great big pile of new-to-us books that Aunt Kristi had rescued from a garage sale.
Hannah was in bookworm heaven! She stayed like this for the better part of the morning.
That afternoon when Aunt Kristi was done teaching, we had birthday rice krispy treats. :)
As previously referenced, cakes are not my strong suit.
We spent a nice rainy Friday night at home with carryout pizza and a showing of Monster's Inc.
I love that movie.
Yesterday I caught Hannah doing a Roz impression with some of her dolls....
"You'd better get your paperwork in by the morning, Wisowski!"
Reemaw and Mustache had to take off on Saturday morning to head home.
Luckily it won't be too terribly long before they make a return trip.
We're already looking forward to it!
Saturday was also the neighboring town's annual "Corn Festival".
We had fun at the parade and I think Hannah collected enough candy that we might be able to re-purpose it for our Halloween visitors. :)
In the afternoon, we headed south to catch the last game of the high school girls volleyball tournament.
Then we wrapped up the day at a JFL game a little bit further down the road, starring Brian's cousin.
We had a great time visiting with family that we don't see that often.
Hannah especially loved hanging out with cousin Danielle.
All in all, a great time spent with family!
Can't believe tomorrow is Monday again, but I'm really thankful for weekend we had.
