For anyone keeping up with the preschool transition saga, our return to the "old" preschool has been great.
Hannah got to go back to her previous room, with familiar teachers, and good buddies.
She was pretty excited to see one buddy in particular.
I was worried about splitting them up in the first place, but knew that at age 3 they were bound to bounce back quickly. (Truly I think it was harder on the mommies!)
It's just that they've been such good buddies since they were a year and half old that it was hard to think about them not seeing each other every day.
When we decided to make the switch, I wanted Hannah to give something to her friend, and I was thinking something like the "best friends" necklaces that we used to wear in junior high would be cute.
I found these adorable PB&J friends necklaces on Etsy and they were perfect.
But they took FOREVER to ship here from the seller's home state of Hawaii.
So, in the time it took Hannah to leave her preschool, spend 3 weeks at a new school, and then return, the necklaces finally arrived.
Last night we had dinner at the park with A's family and Hannah got to give her the necklace.
They were cracking us up! "Come here, Peanut Butter!!" "Over here, Jelly!"
I love that they are such good pals.
And with that, I think I will refrain from any more posting about the Great Preschool Debacle of 2011.
It happened. It stunk. We're over it.
Looking forward to another great fall weekend this weekend.
Home football game, Pumpkin Festival, some fall-ish recipes to try out....can't wait.
