{ happy easter! }

Happy Easter!!!!
What a wonderful day to celebrate our risen Lord and Savior!
We were so happy to be able to attend Easter services at our home church this morning.
Typically we travel on Easter and worship in one of our parents' churches, which is also nice.
But First United is home, and we will be so sad to say goodbye when we move this summer.

The audio for our services is available on www.1stu.org - this morning's message is worth a listen!
After the morning service, there was a nice brunch for everyone.
It was a special morning without becoming a marathon, which those of us with little tired kids really appreciated.

Back at home, we had some eggs waiting for us that had been artistically dyed the night before...

One of Brian's family traditions growing up was an "Easter Egg Fight".
Instead of hiding the eggs, everybody picked one, and then they smashed them against each other in a tournament style match up.
The fighter with the uncracked egg at the end won.
I don't think there's any real strategy to it...just luck of the draw.
This year, Luke's egg was the lucky one.  He got pretty excited with all the cheering.
Hannah's favorite part was eating the hard boiled eggs afterwards.

I had some small baskets of goodies for the kiddos, too.
I think they liked them.  Luke tried to eat his Goldfish without opening the bag.
Hannah was most excited about her dot markers.

Here's our attempt at a picture in their Easter outfits.  Love those kids!
