It was an eventful week in the Kurz household!
(WARNING: This is a super random collection of thoughts -
but wanted to get the pictures loaded before the weekend got way from me completely!!)

On Tuesday, a judge in a Tampa, Florida courtroom made Luke a "Kurz" for ever!
We attended the hearing by phone and answered a few quick questions.
Then it was all over!
16 months of paperwork, home studies, profiles, and waiting....
And Luke Timothy Kurz is now ours!!!!
We celebrated with a family photo....courtesy of my tripod. HA!
Luke had his first solid(ish) food this week....oatmeal cereal with prune juice.
Yummy!
Hannah helped feed him his first bites.
I know I will love this picture in the years to come...

We had some rain this week, followed by some gorgeous rainbows!
We took a trip to New Haven to visit Reemaw and Mustache, and to see the New Haven Balloon Festival.
It's been a while since we've been back there, so we were glad to get the chance!
There was a nice parade before the balloon launch.

There was a nice parade before the balloon launch.
I loved getting to see my old high school marching band!
The theme for the parade was "Let's Go Retro"....
I thought this float was awesome!!!
Nearby where we stood to watch the parade, we saw this tree carving....worth a quick picture.
After the parade, we went down to the park to wait for the balloons to go up.
We spread out our blankets and enjoyed the gorgeous day.
Of course I had my camera handy.

We waited a long time, and in the end the wind caused the race to be cancelled.
Not a total loss though - it really was fun just to hang out!

On Sunday, we drove back up to G-ma and G-pa Kurz's house.
They're putting in a lake on the farm, so we wanted to see the progress.
